Latest on Drug Trafficking

“Couple bringing in drugs nabbed at airport
KOTA KINABALU: A Malaysian couple, who tried to smuggle in 10kg of ketamine into Sabah by hiding it under a pile of clothes placed in a secret compartment of their bags, have been caught by the state’s Customs officers.
They were detained after the officers searched their luggage upon their return from Hong Kong at the Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA) last Friday....
Acting state Customs director Janathan Kandok said the ketamine was valued at more than RM132,000.....Following this latest ketamine seizure, the department had already detected four high-profile drug cases at the KKIA this year, he added.
This is an offence under Section 136 of the Customs Act 1967, which carries a maximum jail sentence of three years or RM10,000 fine, or both, upon conviction.”(The Star Online Tuesday December 13, 2011

Allah does things not for fun:
“191. Those who remember Allah (always, and in prayers) standing, sitting, and lying down on their sides, and think deeply about the creation of the heavens and the earth, (saying): "Our Lord! You have not created (all) this without purpose, glory to You! . (Quran: Al Imran)
The problem of drug trafficking and drug addiction epidermic was noted in the 60s. The underlying cause of drug addiction then, and now, is the stress pervading in society which impacts on man. As long as the demand for drugs, that is stress, is present, there is no way drug trafficking can be controlled or stop, even if drug smugglers face death penalty if caught, as prescribed by law in Malaysia..

USA experiences the same problem.
A report stated that in the past, the Reagan administration had done everything to control illicit drug supply in USA. Unfortunately it had failed. It said, as long as there is demand for the drugs, the huge income from drug smuggling will always induce drug smugglers to take whatever risks. (NST 19 Sept 1984)
And the demand will always be there as drug addiction epidermic has gone out of control since the 80s:
A report in the NST said that according to a survey by U.N, drug addiction has reached epidermic level all over the world and is out of control now. (New Straits Times [NST] 21 Jan 1985)
Yet Allah has shown how drug addiction epidermic can be abolished. Under His guidance, Nabi Muhmmad s.a.w had abolished drug epidermic within 20 years after being made a prophet. 'Modern' man has failed to achieve the same thing in more than 50 years of struggle, despite the advanced technologies, man-power and huge money spent. Yet we refuse to follow the successful Islmic method to fight an epidermic which is ravaging societies all over the world.
Why?
'Modern' man , Allah says:

“18. They are deaf, dumb, and blind, so they return not (to the Right Path).”
( Quran: Al Baqarah)

On the Day of Resurrection, he wil be raised blind:

124. "But whosoever turns away from My Reminder (i.e. neither believes in this Qur'an nor acts on its orders, etc.) verily, for him is a life of hardship, and We shall raise him up blind on the Day of Resurrection."
125. He will say:"O my Lord! Why have you raised me up blind, while I had sight (before)."
126. (Allah) will say: "Like this, Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) came unto you, but you disregarded them (i.e. you left them, did not think deeply in them, and you turned away from them), and so this Day, you will be neglected (in the Hell-fire, away from Allah's Mercy)." Al Quran : Ta Haa)
