Change or Transformation in Life is A Must: Malaysian Experience
1.Basis of True Change or Transformation
Man must always change for the better. He must be better today than yesterday and better tomorrow than today. Anyone who does not change is a living skeleton.
Since change is so important, man must know the proper way to change. Who, then, besides God Allah, knows best how to change? He is the Creator and Ruler of everything. He is the All-Knower; He knows everything, the obvious and the hidden.
Allah is the best Guide. Anyone who ignores His guidance would only do so at his own peril. Sadly, the Prime Minister (PM) Najib and the BN-UMNO government is doing exactly that: ignoring Allah's clear guidance in bringing change/transformation to Malaysia, thus putting the country in grave danger.
The Basis of True Change/Transformation
Allah's basic guidance about change:.
11. ..Verily never will Allah change the condition of a people until they change it themselves (with their own souls). ''(Al Quran Ar Ra'd :11)
53. …..Allah will never change a grace which He has bestowed on a people until they change what is in their own selves. And verily, Allah is All-Hearer, All-Knower. (Al Anfal )
Commenting on this ayat the late Asy-Syahid Sayyid Qutb wrote that Allah “ makes changes in the life of man base on the changes that occur in the heart (hati) and intention (niat) of man, behavior, actions and choices which he makes for himself.” ( Tafsir Fi Zilalil Quran vol 7 page 153)
And the most basic and important change that must be made in the mind is the change to constant remembrance of Allah:

45. Recite what is sent of the Book by inspiration to thee, and establish regular Prayer: for Prayer restrains from shameful and unjust deeds; and remembrance of Allah is the greatest (thing in life) without doubt. And Allah knows the (deeds) that ye do. (Al Ankabut : 45)
The most important thing, in a man's life , after his soul, is his mind (heart) which determines his mind-set, and which controls his thinking, decision making and action. In changing or transforming, the first thing that must change is this mind-set. Man's mind-set must therefore be always focused on
the remembrance of Allah. However Allah has given man freedom to chose his mind-set. Allah says that means:
10. And shown him the two ways (good and evil)? (Al Balad :10)
Al Quran: Allah's Guidance
The first way is Allah's guidance:
2. This is the Book (the Qur'an), whereof there is no doubt, a guidance to those who are Al-Muttaqun [the pious and righteous persons who fear Allah much (abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which He has forbidden) and love Allah much (perform all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained)]. (Al Baqarah)
  1. They are on (true) guidance from their Lord, and they are the successful. (Al Baqarah)
Alternative to Allah's Guidance: The ways of the Syaitan:
Syaitan/ Iblis induces man to go astray from Allah's straight path:

39. [Iblis (Satan)] said: "O my Lord! Because you misled me, I shall indeed adorn the path of error for them (mankind) on the earth, and I shall mislead them all. (Al Hijri 15)
17. Then I will come to them from before them and behind them, from their right and from their left, and You will not find most of them as thankful ones (i.e. they will not be dutiful to You)."(al Araf)
40. "Except Your chosen, (guided) slaves among them." (Al Hijri )
Shayatin and the non-believers work together to mislead man:

Allah's Guidance to Changing The Mind-set
27. O Children of Adam! Let not Shaitan (Satan) deceive you, as he got your parents [Adam and Hawwa (Eve)] out of Paradise, stripping them of their raiments, to show them their private parts. Verily, he and Qabiluhu (his soldiers from the jinns or his tribe) see you from where you cannot see them. Verily, We made the Shayatin (devils) Auliya' (protectors and helpers) for those who believe not.(Al A'raf)
So, in this world, Shyatin and the non-beleivers work together to mislead the man.
Man's mind-set must be focused on Allah.
Man must etched in his mind that remembering Allah always is the greatest thing in life :
... and remembrance of Allah is the greatest (thing in life) without doubt.(Al Ankabut: 29”45) And the way to constantly remember Him is to read the Al Quran with understanding, acting on it and perform regular prayers.
Prayers performed at regular intervals, at least 5 times a day, is a sure way of constantly remembering Him. Reciting Al Fatihah is compulsory for the validity of the prayers. Surah Al Fatihah , read with understanding, etches remembrance of Allah in the reader's mind:
1. In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.
2. All the praises and thanks be to Allah, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists).
3. The Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.
4. The Only Owner (and the Only Ruling Judge) of the Day of Recompense (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)
5. You (Alone) we worship, and You (Alone) we ask for help (for each and everything).
6. Guide us to the Straight Way
7. The Way of those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace, not (the way) of those who earned Your Anger (such as the Jews), nor of those who went astray (such as the Christians).
Result of Ignoring Allah's Guidance
Ignoring Allah's guidance will always bring disasters:
123. (Allah) said:"Get you down (from the Paradise to the earth), both of you, together, some of you are an enemy to some others. Then if there comes to you guidance from Me, then whoever follows My Guidance shall neither go astray, nor fall into distress and misery.
124. "But whosoever turns away from My Reminder (i.e. neither believes in this Qur'an nor acts on its orders, etc.) verily, for him is a life of hardship, and We shall raise him up blind on the Day of Resurrection."
125. He will say:"O my Lord! Why have you raised me up blind, while I had sight (before)."
126. (Allah) will say: "Like this, Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) came unto you, but you disregarded them (i.e. you left them, did not think deeply in them, and you turned away from them), and so this Day, you will be neglected (in the Hell-fire, away from Allah's Mercy)."
127. And thus do We requite him who transgresses beyond bounds [i.e. commits the great sins and disobeys his Lord (Allah) and believes not in His Messengers, and His revealed Books, like this Qur'an, etc.], and believes not in the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of his Lord, and the torment of the Hereafter is far more severe and more lasting.
128. Is it not a guidance for them (to know) how many generations We have destroyed before them, in whose dwellings they walk? Verily, in this are signs indeed for men of understanding.
129. And had it not been for a Word that went forth before from your Lord, and a term determined, (their punishment) must necessarily have come (in this world). (Ta Haa)

Efforts to mislead
Man, including Malaysians, all over the world, is suffering now, a result of ignoring Allah's guidance, victim of Shayatin and his helpers, misleading him:
Gladstone, former Prime Minister of Britain, was reported to have said:
As long as Al Quran is in the hands of Muslims, the West will not be able to control the East.”(Ustadh Jalal Al-Alim Seruan Barat: Hancurkan Islam, Hapuskan Pemeluknya Dewan Pustaka Fajar 2002 page 370
Samuel Zwimer, President of World Association of Missionaries, at a conference in Jerusalem in 1935, was reported to have said: “The work of missionaries posted to countries in which the religion of Muhammad is present.....is to take them out of the real Islam, so that they become people who have no relationship with Allah.” (ibid page 55)
Despite all their efforts, Shayatin and his helpers have failed to mislead everyone in the West as more people in droves are entering Islam, some without even knowing Muslims, but only through reading Al Quran . Facing this failure, they have sifted their focus to the east, Africa and South America:
In their book 'Revolutionary wealth' , Alvin & Heidi Toffler (Doubleday 2006) wrote: "But Islam is growing much faster (than Christianity)"..... "Since the mid-1950s, according to Philip Jenkins, author of 'The Next Christianity', "the critical centers of the Christian world have moved decisively to Africa, Latin America and Asia." (page 373).

We Muslims cannot stop them from misleading people, as that is their nature. Allah says that mean:
120. Never will the Jews nor the Christians be pleased with you (O Muhammad Peace be upon him ) till you follow their religion. (Al Baqarah)

So what should we do? We must spread the words of the Al Quran. At the same time we must seek protection. Who besides Allah can give the best protection?

Ask for Allah's protection
Allah, being the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful, does not leave His slaves alone facing the treacherous ways of Shayatin and his helpers, the non-believers. He is always there to help man. He says that means:
1. Say: "I seek refuge with (Allah) the Lord of mankind,
2. "The King of mankind,
3. "The Ilah (God) of mankind,
4. "From the evil of the whisperer (devil who whispers evil in the hearts of men) who withdraws (from his whispering in one's heart after one remembers Allah) ,
5. "Who whispers in the breasts of mankind,
6. "Of jinns and men." (Ann Nas)

And the salvation for man is the Al Quran:
2This is the Book (the Qur'an), whereof there is no doubt, a guidance to those who are Al-Muttaqun [the pious and righteous persons who fear Allah much (abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which He has forbidden) and love Allah much (perform all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained)].... (Al Baqarah)
5.They are on (true) guidance from their Lord, and they are the successful. (Al Baqarah)

Allah has given everyone a brain with which he makes a choice. And he will be held responsible for that choice.
