“150,000 to help in war against drugs 2011/07/05 NST Tuesday

KAJANG: The government has stepped up the fight against drug abuse by forming a team of volunteers dedicated to the cause.
The team, dubbed "1Malaysia Anti-Narcotics Volunteer Team" (SKUAD 1Malaysia), is made up of more than 150,000 volunteers from non-governmental organisations and is run by the National Anti-Narcotics Agency (AADK) under the Home Ministry.

Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein said the volunteers would assist the agency in all efforts in the war against drugs.....

Hishammuddin, who also opened AADK's headquarters here yesterday, said the agency and the ministry were also looking into ways to help rehabilitate former addicts by providing new avenues for income and employment. He said Malaysians must work together and in tandem to effectively fight against the abuse and distribution of drugs.”

Allah tests man to see who does good and who does bad.

2.Who has created death and life, that He may test you which of you is best in deed. And He is the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving; (Al Quran Chapter 67 Al Mulk verse 2 i.e Al Quran 67:2)

These tests make man stressful.

4. Verily, We have created man in toil. (Al Quran 90:4)

Allah gives two guidance to face this stress.

10.And shown him the two ways (good and evil)? (Al Quran 90:10)

38.We said: "Get down all of you from this place (the Paradise), then whenever there comes to you Guidance from Me, and whoever follows My Guidance, there shall be no fear on them, nor shall they grieve. (AL Quran 2;38)

A wrong choice leads to persistent stress.

124. "But whosoever turns away from My Reminder (i.e. neither believes in this Qur'an nor acts on its orders, etc.) verily, for him is a life of hardship, and We shall raise him up blind on the Day of Resurrection." (Ta Haa 120-12 4)

One of the wrong ways to address stress is to consume addictive drugs. This leads to a vicious cycle, causing world -wide epidemic of drug addiction.

To eliminate drug addiction as an epidemic, we have to remove the basic cause and that is stress.

Clear guidance from Allah on how to eliminate stress is in the Al Quran.

57. O mankind! There has come to you a good advice from your Lord (i.e. the Qur'an, ordering all that is good and forbidding all that is evil), and a healing for that (disease of ignorance, doubt, hypocrisy and differences, etc.) in your breasts, - a guidance and a mercy (explaining lawful and unlawful things, etc.) for the believers. ( Al Quran Yunus 10:57)

The cause and effect of stress is as follows:

123. (Allah) said:"Get you down (from the Paradise to the earth), both of you, together, some of you are an enemy to some others. Then if there comes to you guidance from Me, then whoever follows My Guidance shall neither go astray, nor fall into distress and misery. (Ta Haa 120-12 4)

Cure for Stress
When we faithfully follows Allah guidance, we will experience peace:

28.Those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah - Islamic Monotheism), and whose hearts find rest in the remembrance of Allah, Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest .
(Al Quran Ar Raad 13: 28

Then, there is therefore no need for the addictive drugs. The effectiveness of Allah's ways is exemplified by all the experience of those who submit to Him, from the Arabs under the leadership of Nabi Muhammad s.a.w, to the Palestinians now and the Afghans under Taliban rule.

Those who disobey Allah's guidance are wallowing in drug epidemic, with all the terrifying consequences.

Which method does the Malaysian government want to choose?
