1Malaysia: Towards National Unity or national Destruction?

1Malaysia: Towards National Unity or National Destruction?

Allah creates man of many races and colour and languages
“ O mankind! We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another.” (al Hujrat 49:13)

He Can create One Race if He wills
”If Allah willed, He would have made you one nation, but that (He) may test you in what He has given you” (Al Maidah 5:48)

“And if your Lord had so willed, He could surely have made mankind one Ummah [nation or community (following one religion only i.e. Islam)], but they will not cease to disagree” (Hud 11:118)

(So, how can we replace Malay, Chinese and Indian race with Malaysian race as Najib dreamed? “The highest level is to celebrate our diversity. This should be our pride. The 1Malaysia message is powerful. One dream, one people, one nation.” PM:Education system reflects choice of community 2009/10/05 From Nuraina A Samad, reporting from Paris NST printed 6/10/2009)

No Money can unite People
“.And He has united their (i.e. believers') hearts. If you had spent all that is in the earth, you could not have united their hearts, but Allah has united them. Certainly He is All-Mighty, All-Wise. “
(Al Anfal 8:63)

Allah controls the heart
“O you who believe! Answer Allah (by obeying Him) and (His) Messenger when he () calls you to that which will give you life, and know that Allah comes in between a person and his heart (i.e. He prevents an evil person to decide anything). And verily to Him you shall (all) be gathered.” (Al Anfaal 8:24)

Allah's way towards unity
153. "And verily, this (i.e. Allah's Commandments mentioned in the above two Verses 151 and 152) is my Straight Path, so follow it, and follow not (other) paths, for they will separate you away from His Path. This He has ordained for you that you may become Al-Muttaqun )." (Al An'aam 6:153)

Syaitan's way
Anyone who does not choose Allah's ways, chooses Syaitan's way. Allah says that means:
.
36. And whosoever turns away (blinds himself) from the remembrance of the Most Beneficent (Allah) (i.e. this Qur'an and worship of Allah), We appoint for him Shaitan (Satan - devil) to be a Qarin (an intimate companion) to him.
37. And verily, they (Satans / devils) hinder them from the Path (of Allah), but they think that they are guided aright! ( Az Zukhruf 43:36-37)
39. [Iblis (Satan)] said: "O my Lord! Because you misled me, I shall indeed adorn the path of error for them (mankind) on the earth, and I shall mislead them all.(Al Hijr 15:39)

“ Verily, We made the Shayatin (devils) Auliya' (protectors and helpers) for those who believe not.”
( Al A'raf 7:27)

******
Unity is a basic need of man. As with other basic needs, Allah has sets out guidelines for man to achieve unity. Any deviation from these guidelines will only bring destruction . Sadly PM Najib has chosen 1Malaysia for national unity:

“SINGAPORE: Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has denied that 1Malaysia has something to do with the OneIsrael concept.....
He said 1Malaysia was more than just about unity as it was a concept aimed at transforming the country.” ( The Star Online “1Malaysia to transform nation” Wednesday April 7, 2010)
Surely this will fail to unite the nation and will bring untold miseries as had and is happening all over the world where Allah's guidance is ignored.

True Unity
The above sentences from the Al Quran at the beginning of this article are Allah's statements related to national unity. Unity occurs any time these principles are implemented.

Prior to becoming Muslims, the Meccan Arabs were a divided nation, always at war with each other. Similarly with the Aus and Khazraj (the Ansar) in Madinah. When the Meccan Arab Muslims migrated (the Muhajirin), Islam united them all in the city state of Madinah under Nabi Muhammad s.a.w.

Similar unity was seen in countries ruled by Islam. Non-Muslims,Christian and Jews, migrated to such countries to find peace and happiness.

“This same sense of security of religious life under Muslim rule led many of the Christians of Asia Minor, also about the same time, to welcome the advent of the Saljud Turks as their deliverers.... In the reign of Michael Vlll (1261-1282), the Turks were often invited to take possession of the smaller towns in the interior of Asia Minor by the inhabitants, that they might escape from the tyranny of the empire; and both rich and poor often emigrated into Turkish dominions.” (British historian Sir Thomas Arnold The Spread of Islam in the World Goodwood Books 2001 pg 96)

As-Syahid Sayyid Qutb commented on unity:
“The miracle of unity had happened and no one has the power to do it except Allah. That miracle will not happen except with Islamic faith which had successfully changed the wild hearts and vindictive behaviour to become a united block, bound together with spirit of brotherhood, humility and love for each other. They are united to a level which is not known in history...” (Asy-Syahid Sayyid Qutb Tafsir fi Zilalil Quran. Commentary on Surah Al-Anfal verse 63. Translation by writer)

All other claims of unity are falsehood as history has shown.

Compare this national unity brought by Islam to what is happening in the 'modern world'.

'Unity' in modern times
Migration in search of better opportunities in life is common. However, Muslims and Africans and Asians (Muslims and non-Muslims) migrants are discriminated all over the world.

USA accepts people all over the world, Europeans, African and Asians. Democratic government, education system, economic policies etc. failed to unite the Americans.

“Widespread discrimination
In the American Deep South in 1959, to be black was to be despised - to be treated as something less than human.
There was the grinding poverty, of course, and the segregation and legalise discrimination which reserved certain railroad cars, bus seats and drinking fountains for the whites.
But there were humiliations that ran deeper still. In some states, black men accused of looking at white women with lust in their hearts could be arrested under laws which made "ogling" a form of sexual assault. …...Griffin's experiment probably stands alone in history as a benign example of racial impersonation - but by a curious coincidence, exactly 50 years (2009) on we see a couple of examples of the darker form of the tradition which remind you that progress towards that age of racial enlightenment is still very uneven indeed.”
Kevin Connolly “Exposing the color of prejudice”BBC News, Washington Story from BBC NEWS:http://news.bbc.co.uk/go/pr/fr/-/2/hi/americas/8318628.stm 2009/10/25 ”

U.K is no different. The various races that migrated to UK do not find that unity. Similarly in France. The most glaring example is the old Yugoslavia. Neighbour and friends, all Yugoslavian,, tortured and kill each other in one episode of mass massacre never seen before in 'modern' time.

The racial hatred prevalent in the old South Africa still prevails in the independent 'modern' S. Africa:

'Sixteen years after the end of white minority rule in South Africa, the court appearance of two young men accused of the murder of white supremacist Eugene Terreblanche has highlighted the level of racial intolerance and hatred still felt by many South Africans - black and white......
In the rest of the country, open signs of racism are rare but black and white South Africans largely lead separate lives. (Is 'modern' Malaysia any different?)
"I live in the township a few kilometres from town and we don't feel safe as blacks, especially now Terreblanche has been killed," said university student Lesego Tsui.
"I don't even want to go out at night any more because you don't know if the Boers [whites] will come after us."
Pumza Fihlani Story from BBC NEWS:“Race hate lives on in 'rainbow nation” http://news.bbc.co.uk/go/pr/fr/-/2/hi/africa/8605846.stm 2010/04/06

Nearer home, we see what has happened and is happening in Sri Lanka, India, Burma, Thailand, China, Japan, Phillipines, Singapore and Australia. Muslims of any race face the brunt of discrimination everywhere.

Where is the unity that everyone hankers for?

Malaysia's Choice: 1Malaysia

Najib has chosen 1Malaysia to unite the nation: “The 1Malaysia message is powerful. One dream, one people, one nation.” From Nuraina A Samad, reporting from Paris “PM:Education system reflects choice of community” 2009/10/05 NST printed 6/10/2009).

The basic flaw in 1Malaysia is that it is not fully base on Islam, as Malaysia is governed by the Constitution. The highest law in the country is the Constitution 4(1). Any law which is not in line with the Constitution is invalid.

Yet, Allah says:
“ It is not for a believer, man or woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decreed a matter that they should have any option in their decision. And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger, he has indeed strayed in a plain error.” (Al Ahzab 33: 36)

“ Do they then seek the judgement of (the Days of) Ignorance? And who is better in judgement than Allah for a people who have firm Faith.” (Al Maiddah 5:50)

It is therefore not surprising that the transformations taking place under Najib are more in keeping with the ways of the West. Allah and Rasul s.a.w declare war against interest. Monopoly in all aspects of business is haram (illegal) (Yusof Qaradawa) Yet interest and monopoly, the basis of business in the West, are widely practiced in Malaysia. At the same time the government wants all Malaysians to have equal and fair chance of competing.

“Najib also touched on the 1Malaysia concept.
“We want to see an inclusive Malaysia, where no one is left out of contributing to and sharing in the creation of wealth as we progress.” By LIM AI LEE 'Change I will, says PM' newsdesk@thestar.com.myThe Star Online > Nation Sunday April 18, 2010
The same message was said by TPM:

“The NEM is not just an economic model but is also an instrument that will ensure every single Malaysian is given an equal role and opportunities to polish their potential so that we can compete fairly.
“When everyone is given the assurance that they can compete fairly in the economic sector, the real racial harmony will prevail and that is one of the model’s targets,” Muhyiddin said at the Kuala Lumpur Chinese Assembly Hall’s 1Malaysia dinner here last night.”

Interest and monopoly will never give everyone a chance to compete on level ground, fairly.

The purpose of education in Islam is to educate man to fear Allah, so that “ you enjoin Al-Ma'ruf (i.e. Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam has ordained) and forbid Al-Munkar (polytheism, disbelief and all that Islam has forbidden), and you believe in Allah.” ( Al Imran 3:110)

In Malaysia, there is widespread al-mungkar, corruption, prostitution, gambling, all sorts of crime, yet the main purpose of Malaysian education is not addressing these problems which can only be controlled if there is fear of Allah in the hearts of man.

The purpose of education in Malaysia is to meet the target of vision 2020, that is to make the nation equal to the West. It is also to make Malaysians creative and innovative. Are modern man creative and innovative? Yes, modern man has overcome physical problems to go to the moon, yet on earth man is not able to solve many daily personal problems in life, leading to widespread problems all over the world.

When people practices Islam fully, there was creativity and innovations. Many prominent practising Islamic scientist led the world when Islamic Civilisation was at its peak.

Destruction of Nations
Allah had destroyed many nations in the past: kaum-kaum Nuh, Luth, Aad', Tsamud and Fir'aun . Like every kaum, kaum Aad belied their Prophet Hud:
18. 'Ad (people) belied (their Prophet, Hud), then how (terrible) was My Torment and My Warnings?
19. Verily, We sent against them a furious wind of harsh voice on a day of evil omen and continuous calamity.
20. Plucking out men as if they were uprooted stems of date-palms.
21. Then, how (terrible) was My Torment and My Warnings?
22. And We have indeed made the Qur'an easy to understand and remember, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)? (Al Qamar 54: 18-22)
Allah has given Malaysia many warnings. Among them are 13 May 1969 trajedy, quiet recently racial riot in Taman Medan, tsunami, earth tremors in K. Pilah, N Sembilan (The Star Online Monday November 30, 2009 MYT 9:00:00 PM
Weak quake felt in Kuala Pilah
KUALA LUMPUR: A weak earthquake, measuring 3.0 on the Richter scale, occurred for the fourth time in Kuala Pilah at 2.30pm Monday.
According to a statement by the Malaysian Meteorological Department, the epicentre of the latest quake was at 22km east of Seremban) .and Bukit Tinggi and Janda Baik, Pahang (“Ketua Pengarah Jabatan Meteorologi, Dr. Yap Kok Seng justeru berkata......Sebelum itu, katanya, bermula 30 November 2007 sehingga 25 Mei tahun lalu, 17 kejadian gempa kecil dikesan di sekitar kawasan Bukit Tinggi dan Janda Baik.(Utusan Malaysia 10/10/2009))....and repeated economic upheavels.
Are we not going to take heed?
16. Do you feel secure that He, Who is over the heaven (Allah), will not cause the earth to sink with you, then behold it shakes (as in an earthquake)?
17. Or do you feel secure that He, Who is over the heaven (Allah), will not send against you a violent whirlwind? Then you shall know how (terrible) has been My Warning?
18. And indeed those before them belied (the Messengers of Allah), then how terrible was My denial (punishment)? (Al Mulk 67:16-17)

Let Us Return to Allah
For the sake of the future well being of the country let us all return to Allah for He has promised:
123. (Allah) said:"Get you down (from the Paradise to the earth), both of you, together, some of you are an enemy to some others. Then if there comes to you guidance from Me, then whoever follows My Guidance shall neither go astray, nor fall into distress and misery.
124. "But whosoever turns away from My Reminder (i.e. neither believes in this Qur'an nor acts on its orders, etc.) verily, for him is a life of hardship, and We shall raise him up blind on the Day of Resurrection."
125. He will say:"O my Lord! Why have you raised me up blind, while I had sight (before)."
126. (Allah) will say: "Like this, Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) came unto you, but you disregarded them (i.e. you left them, did not think deeply in them, and you turned away from them), and so this Day, you will be neglected (in the Hell-fire, away from Allah's Mercy)." (Taa Haa 20: 123-126).

And Allah always fulfil His promises.
